Summer Festival Rules

The Summer Festival will take the form of seven 10 lap races across seven days. The first six races will earn racers points that will determine their starting positions at the grand finale on the seventh day.

How do I earn points?

There are 3 ways to earn points:

Participate

Racers will earn 1 point for participating in a race

Survive

Racers will earn a 2nd point for surviving the race

Perform

Racers will earn 1 point for placing 3rd, 2 points for placing 2nd, and 3 points for placing 1st

Don’t feel left out if you can’t make every race, your point total is calculated by your best three races, and you do not need to participate in the first 6 days to participate in the finale

Hull Limited?!?

Yes!

For this event we want it to be as accessible and fair as possible, to that end we are Limiting the ships down to a single hull.

All Races will be limited to the racing mustang variants

The Mustang Gamma and Omega

Don’t have a Gamma or omega? No Problem! you can rent a Gamma from the space port at Orison, or buy one in game from Astro Armada in Area 18 for 627,500 AUEC!

Big no no’s?

the boring stuff

For simplicity, all races will be single elimination. If you crash you will be out of the race. But don’t feel discouraged, you can do better in the next race!

Weapons must be removed from your ship, or turned off on rentals. if you shoot at another racer or race official you are disqualified. You will earn no points or prizes for that race, and there is a possibility that you will be barred from further participation in the Summer Festival.

We are here for a good time. If it is determined that you are purposefully causing accidents and or are generally making the event worse for your other racers you will also be disqualified earning no points or prizes and potentially barred from further participation. Be cool friends.

Hell yeah there are Prizes

The first six races will offer a guaranteed participation prize of 10,000 AUEC

3rd place for the first six races grants 75,000 AUEC

2nd place in the first six races is 150,000 AUEC

1st place in the first six races is 300,000 AUEC

Grand Finale Prizes

50,000 AUEC for showing up

3rd place gets 250,000 AUEC

2nd place earns 500,000 AUEC

1st place wins 1,000,000 AUEC
